As with most of my pieces, Life and Death are represented in my drawings. The flowers represent life or blood.
I often use the number four to symbolize Death. In Japanese, the kanji for Death also means four. The four crows act as the four horsemen. Death and decay give way to life.

She is a multifaceted artist, also working as a metalsmith and owner of Miyu Decay Jewelry, living in Los Angeles.
