Secret Language of Love | Diptych

This diptych brings together two works from my ongoing series Secret Language of Love, where fruits, florals, and historic motifs are woven into narratives of emotion and devotion.

The first piece centres on the pomegranate– an ancient symbol of passion and enduring love. Paired with the lover’s eye, a timeless emblem of intimate connection, and the rare Semper Augustus tulip, it speaks of love in its most cherished and eternal form.

In contrast, the second piece explores the more fragile side of love through the fig– a fruit long associated with desire and hidden truths. Here, the lover’s eye returns, this time marked by a single tear, accompanied by the bleeding heart flower, evoking longing and unrequited affection.

Together, these works form a visual dialogue between love that is fulfilled and love that remains unanswered- held in balance through symbolism, history, and storytelling.

This pair is offered as a diptych.
They are intended to be experienced together, each completing the narrative of the other.
