About the Artist
Rossella Paolini
I am an Italian painter and illustrator. I am inspired by intuitions, fantasy and imagination that come from various studies on the mysteries of life. In my studio I have many books from which I take inspiration for the creation of my works: mythology, legends, fairy tales, creatures, alchemy, fantasy, science fiction, civilizations of the past and illustrated books for children. I use acrylic on canvas or paper, often with gouache, gold leaf, glitter and collage. I have exhibited in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Italy, France, the United States, Scotland, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. My style is pop surrealism and fantasy. My favorite subjects are women and animals, I love creating stories for each of my paintings, taking care of the smallest details.
