Stereogram, Farley

by Stephen Sengebush

Dry fall days:

As you begin the hike up from the red dot trail at Farley, it’s sometimes possible to glimpse the fractured cliff above.  The cliff is home to several of the most iconic climbs in the area such as “Poorly/Mainly Chipped” and “Seven,” as well as a fairly extensive cave system known to attract errant boy scout troops.  I wasn’t able to get out much this fall, but every time I look at this painting, I can find myself there again.  Sheltered in the corridor, with crisp textured stone and slippery fallen leaves.

Stereogram, Farley” is an original oil painting, 15″x11,” oil on stretched canvas, and mounted in a rustic black wood frame
