Toad in the Grass

When I was a little girl on my family’s hobby farm I would spend hours outside searching for toads so I could study their details and texture. Now as an adult I still love toads and amphibians!

The painting itself includes parts of repurposed table runners. There are also tons of textural marks scattered throughout the painting that have been applied with a palette knife.

10″x10″ acrylic and mixed media painting on gallery wrapped canvas.

There are scallops along the outside edge that frame the painting nicely. This art has been varnished to protect it from UV light. There is also hanging hardware installed on the back for display.
