This day in history – On November 4, 2008 Barack Obama was elected 44th, and our very first African American President of the United States – a groundbreaking day in US history. The title of this painting is an excerpt from President Obama’s victory speech; the complete sentence being: “I will listen to you, especially when we disagree.”

Bud Cook

Bud Cook is a painter whose strong command of the human figure is at the root of his illustrative and fine art work. His keen study of life yields a cleverly abstracted and stylized realism. This has led him to work for companies such as Wizards of the Coast, Dark Horse Comics, Scientific American and Johns Hopkins Health Review.
