The High Priestess

If The Magician represents masculinity and the first step on The Fool’s journey, then The High Priestess is the second step and inward. It is the card of intuition and one’s inner voice; the magic that comes from inside. She’s a dreamer, with a foot in reality and fantasy. Elderflowers were also a tree revered by the Druids for their feminine power. Their flowers filled the air with a dreamy perfume during the summer solstice, and witches were once said to gather underneath them when their fruits were full.
