“Springtime Honey”

ArtResin and Artistro Acrylic Artist Pens on Live Edge Birch Wood Round, 5 inch circle, 2021

Depicted is a Green eye with Vibrant Violet eyelashes, her pupil is hexagon-shaped and 3 honeybees hover around her pupil, they honeycomb home.

The substrate is a 5 inch birch tree round with live edges, I used Artistro Acrylic art pens to paint the eye and bees, I added a thick layer of Resin overtop and the entire painting is sealed with a glossy coat of ArtResin and there is a D hook attached for simple hanging.

Kelsey Garland

Kelsey Garland is a Mixed Media Painter who uses ArtResin and Oil Paint to create unique three dimensional artwork. Her paintings often depict realistic animals or figures on top of a geometric pattern and an abstract alcohol ink background. She uses Resin to "layer" her paintings, alternating between detailed Oil imagery and thick layers of transparent Resin.

Kelsey graduated from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle with a BFA in Fine Art. She is now a Stay at Home mom to two boys in the Tacoma area.
