Spotted Wolpertinger

by Carisa Swenson

As summer starts to wind down, the Spotted Wolpertinger prepares for its arduous fall migration, from its summer tree home in Bavaria to its winter tree home in Bavaria, which is a mere mile apart (they’re not very good at remembering directions, and besides, their antlers tend to get caught in branches…so once they’ve found a route that works, they stick with it).

Medium: Resin figure (based on my “Blue Bird of Happiness” sculpture), wire, epoxy clay, acrylic paint, glass eyes

Dimensions: 3 3/4″ high x 2 1/2″ wide
