Resilient

The largest in my recent series of paintings on engraved aluminum. Resilient is all about persevering despite the obstacles in your way (or the arrows in your back). The idea in the recent work is to let the line speak. I am fascinated how linear art can lead the eye. Predominantly all of the rendering is done with a complex web of contoured crosshatching in carefully controlled value ranges. The armor has been engraved and will reflect light as you move around the piece. Executed in FW acrylic and enamel, engraved through to the metallic substrate.
