Gallimimus
by Owen Weber
Gallimimus lived about 70 million years ago in the Late Cretaceous era. It could grow up to 20 ft. long, weigh up to 970 lbs., and run at speeds of up to 35 mph. It has been found mostly in Mongolia and its name means “chicken mimic”. Gallimimus was most likely an omnivore, preying on small mammals and plants. They most likely lived in large groups, as many skeletons have been found together.
