Scrolls on walnut by SoMK

This is a long scroll pattern I made along many others , thinking I would make scarves with those designs.. This one will not make it as a scarf but will look really nice as a painting 🙂

The paper is dyed with walnut, the colors are made with the pigments I extracted from my own plants. You can find Indigo, Cabbage, Chestnut, Blue pea, Dogwood, Hazelnut, Black Alder and Xanthoria lichen. The white is oyster shell.

I added 23Kt gold leaves and tooled it for a variation of textures.

The piece is 40cm x 12cm (15.75 by 4.75) and comes with a white mount (I will remove the purple protective tape all around of course 🙂 )

I already varnished it with an Anti UV protection but please, frame it with an Anti UV glass !

Due to various US customs shenanigans, the shipping cost to the US will be $80 because we have to use a specialized company… For the rest of the world, I will ship flat between heavy-duty cardboards and bubblewrap and the cost will be $35
