The Wild Hunt
by Elliot Lang
‘The Wild Hunt’ is a legend originally from Germany and England, which represents an omen of impending demise. Key historical figures have been incorporated into the legend over time and include King Arthur as the leader of the host, the goddess Holda and others, with many hounds running about their feet. I aimed to include the action and cacophony one would imagine seeing. The description and history are directly inspired by the podcast Lore, from an episode called ‘Follow the Leader’.
This ink, oil, and gouache original painting is 16″ x 12″, comes gallery matted and framed at 20″ x 16″.
