Resilience

I adored working on this painting. It is the second one I documented day after day on social media. You can find a whole folder of WIP picts on my Facebook 🙂

The colours are a mix of very stable plant based pigments that I grow, harvest and make, and some good traditional ones.

The gold leaf is 23.5kt for the yellow, 22kt for the white and the sterling silver circle at the bottom has been heavily oxydized for a darker look.

The brown is my walnut ink, the yellow is Dandelion, the blue is my own Mayan blue (indigo on sepiolite), the greens range from stabilized  elderberry leaves to mixes of indigo+dyer’s weed.

The whole painting is roughly 35×65 on artboard. It will come with its mount as pictured in the last photo.
