Red Skull Portrait

This was a fun portrait to do, done in the Zorn palette. This palette consists of a red ( I used Cad Red medium) Yellow Ochre, and Ivory Black and Titanium White. One of my favorite things to do in oil paint is to leave stains and passages of underpainting that show through towards the final of the piece. You can see this happening in a lot of the clothing rendering.
