Loki: Light and Shadow

by Paige Carpenter

The shifting personality of the Norse god Loki has always fascinated me.  Depending on the story, he is light or shadow, laughter or sorrow or rage, masculine or feminine.  This painting shows Loki in his youth, as he was slipping from light towards the darker side of his nature.

Original oil painting on archival paper mounted on board.

Painting size (without frame): 10 inches x 8 inches.
In-frame size: 13.25 inches x 11.25 inches.
